My question here is really two fold..

Part 1: Can I install or is it worth installing the wiring harness without the dash mounted? I'm waiting for my padded dash to come in.

Part 2: I'm also waiting for my upper steering shaft.. not sure if I can even put my dash in without it. It might make getting to the springs on the shaft difficult.

Honestly.. I'm looking for things to do on the car while waiting for the motor. I have the passenger footbox left to rivet, insulate the cockpit and underline the wheel wells of the body. I may put the body on and start attaching doors and all but I have read that it's best if the dash is in place.
Thanks for any advice!

I wired my chassis and my dash separately, then connected them when I put the dash in the car.

Like Gumball I wired my entire car and left the dash for last.
If you haven't already, try to run the rear harness before you put the floor down in the trunk.
It's a pain in the "You Pick The Body Part" if you install it after the floor is down.

No worries. I'm a smaller guy. Getting under the car doesn't bother me much!
