Another first for the last day of the year. I did the first go-kart. I didn't really plan it for today, but I went over my check list, and it was ready. And the rain was heading my way, so I pulled it out (the car that is), stuck the GoPro in the wife's hands, and did it. I have a car that can finally move under it's own power. Pretty cool.
Everything went great. Brakes work fine, tracks perfect, sounds great. I did find one little bit of oil on the little nipple for the oil pressure sender. I'll have to check that tomorrow, maybe give it another turn. Otherwise, all good. All smiles.
Edit: see post #7 for vid. link.

Well... WELL... Alright you guys. Here is a video, please excuse the wife's excitement, and her unfamiliarity with the GoPro (First time she has ever touched it). (The link may be temporary, I'm not so good with computers. I'm a much better water skier, and I hope car builder.)
And I'm still waiting for the vid's from the neighbors on last weeks first start. There is some pretty funny video in them. Someday.
But for now, the much anticipated first go-kart...
Edit: had to take the link down.

That's great, congrats! Love your wife's unscripted remarks! The car looks great, much higher degree of completion compared to my own go kart a few years ago - I didn't have the roll bar or the fire extinguisher for instance!

I actually had two fire extinguishers in the car (not permanently mounted), a Halon under my legs, and the bigger BC next to me. Ya just never know...
