Hello All,
I have a dilemma choosing paint for the car. The car is off getting body work done now. At first I was set on painting the car Lexus Indigo Pearl Blue but now I am rethinking the color choice. I have a photo I grabbed off the Internet which shows an awesome gunmetal grey car. (please see below) However I have no idea on a paint code. It is from a car sales site. Would anyone have a clue as to what this paint code could be or something close?
Thanks
Kevin

Possibly DuPont pepper gray metallic- 44490
PPG 33728
That is what I believe to be the code for the Eleanor GT500 from Gone in 60 Seconds movie. The second picture looks to match that paint job pretty closely.

The profile photo looks like it has had some enhancement done which is probably altering the color (i.e. look at that pink concrete!). The rear quarter shot appears more natural and based on the amount of brown in it I wouldn't be surprised if it is the Eleanor Mustang Pepper Gray (Dupont 44490 or equivalent match). I did this one for a customer a couple of years ago. He originally was thinking that he wanted Eleanor Pepper Gray and I sprayed some samples of that along with a few more modern formulas that were in the same color range. He chose late model Ford Dark Shadow Gray (code CX). In comparison Pepper Gray has a brownish hue, is kind of dead and doesn't have the "pop" that this one does:

I'm not a silver or grey guy but that is a really nice colour on a roadster. Indigo with silver stripes is also stunning and you can't go wrong with that either. See how I helped you make up your mind? :D

I agree. I think that is Elenor grey or close to it.
Look at fords titanium grey. Used on early 03 cobras and mustangs for sure. Might be pretty close also. I think it's. Little lighter thigh but still a pretty color.

When we were looking at 2015 Mustangs that color had a green tint to our eyes. The best way to look at colors is on new car lots. Chip books are nearly worthless as are colors seen on your computer screen.

Craig: I happen to love green, and originally planned to paint FFR 8317 "Dark Ivy Green Metallic" (a 1970 Ford color). My wife suggested that since my Mustang was that color, I should do something different, maybe a silver gray. So while looking at new car colors, I spotted "Magnetic Metallic" and immediately decided "This is it!" Maybe it is the slight green tint in it that caught my eye! One has to see the color "in person" to truly see it as the photos don't do it justice!

In the event I missed it and you want to consider it, Ford put a Sterling Metallic Gray on the 13 and 14 Shelby GT500s. The code is U J.
