After about 200 miles on the car it's developed a problem with the engine losing rpm (and also signal to the tach). The problem does not always show itself but is more likely to occur after about 30 + minutes. The problem has always gone away only to return on another day.
Cruising about 2000 rpm, the tach will begin to oscillate between approx. 2000 and 1700 rpm (with engine doing the same). The problem appears to be occurring more frequently now with rpm dropping lower and the engine will sometimes quit (but always starts again by letting out the clutch while coasting).
I believe the problem is electrical and have checked the wiring I did, but have not found the problem. I'm planning to call MSD Technical support, but was hoping it get the opinions of other owners first.
FYI - this is a carbureted Levy 408 with an MSD box and coil. The box and coil are located away from engine heat. I've had no other problems with the engine.
