Tremec makes a cast aluminum bell (sold through dealers and as a Ford Racing part). That's what we used, mainly due to the fact our project has no racing plans and I didn't want to deal with the modifications to install a hydro-formed steel housing (which voids the SFI cert anyway). This was before the Quicktime products came to be. Now I'd go with a QT unless price was a major factor and you have ZERO plans for high-rpm launches, drag racing, and sticky tires...

Having lived thru a clutch explosion don't skimp on a bellhousing .Ask yourself one question what are your legs or your passengers legs worth.I got lucky the clutch disc went straight up and imbedded in the roof of my pickup and lets just say first you say it then you do it .

Good choice. I agree with Gopher...but then I am a Golden Gopher from Minnesota even though I live in Jersey now.

Anyway, I remember seeing a clutch explode at the old Minnesota Dragways back in the '70s in a car without a shatterproof bellhousing. The poor guy bled to death from his right leg, which was basically sheared by the explosion. Now consider that your Roadster clutch is going to be just to the right of your right leg, just below the knee...YIKES.

I used a McLeod and am pretty happy with it, the QT wasn't out yet at that point in my build. The only one I'd really stay away from is Lakewood, which has known fitment issues.
