Can you install rear coil overs on a four link system FFRMKIII? (quad shocks)

It looks like my quad shocks want to rub the PRO coil over rear shocks while the car is jacked up.

perhaps it will be ok once back down on the ground?

Try reversing the mount direction of the quad shock. There are also variations in the OD of different brands of quad shocks. Try searching here and the other forum for details on that. And also try skipping the quads. Long, long time ago I did that and I learned that, of course burnouts don't work, but otherwise driving is fine w/o them.

As you can see from my signature, I have an MKIV with 3 link so we may be talking apples and oranges but I will give you my experience anyway. I assembled my car with a clutch that was more aggressive then I needed and ended up with driveline judder when starting in either first or reverse gears. Before replacing the clutch, I tried installing the quad shocks (I had them in my pile of leftover parts anyway) in the hopes of mitigating the judder (much better but not the cure I had hoped for). Anyway, in order to get the clearance around the coilover, I had to swap the left quad shock and mount to the right side and the right quad shock and mount to the left (the quad shocks are marked for correct factory location). With a little shimming you end up with plenty of clearance and the geometry is very close to OEM. Quad shocks don't do much for a 3 link system but if you are running soft bushings on a 4 link and you like doing the 1/4 mile once in a while, they will help control the rear.
