Factory Five President Dave Smith and exclusive Australian Distributor Chris Canning.

Chris Canning from Component Cars Australia, our new exclusive distributor in Australia, visited the facility to check on his shipment of four Factory Fives heading down under. We took the chance to visit and review our plan for delivering cars to Factory Five guys in Australia.

Chris and the engineering staff went through some chassis ideas for right hand drive as well as items that affect Australia customers.

Chris surprised me with a custom made Western Australia surf board! Good karma from a great guy.

Thanks Chris for the great visit and we look forward to big news from down under with Factory Fives.

Any plans to offer the Australian "make it easier" things as an upgrade option?

That's a great question because we've now to consider seriously RHD on the Mk4 as a project... This will directly benefit UK and othe rRHD countries. and more was discussed. That's the way it is when you give Dave free surfboards.

Dave - you were pulled in all directions at the open house. Would have been good to meet at discuss this.

I am in nyc for two more days. Happy to discuss if you have the time. At a recent kit car show in the UK I felt like people were about to curse me for wearing my for shirt. The UK is equally patriotic about rover or JAG based kits as the US is about US kits.

Hmmmm - how about a RHD 289 slabside? I can see mine now, Dayton wires, no hood scoop or rollbar, hoop bumpers front and rear, under-car exhaust, perhaps something in a nice BRG with "biscuit" interior.

Dave exciting news for sure, we need some shots of a Roadster, 33, and a GTM racing through the outback...

You need to do a RHD 289 FIA just to annoy MrMustang :-)
