Curious if this is the same size as the Breeze prop-rod and if it mounts to the same locations to the frame and hood.

Was going to post a new thread on the Breeze hood prop rod but thought I would just add on this one. Trying to finish up my hood install but looking for some guidance on the installation of the prop rod. No familiar with the differences between the Finish Line and Breeze units but would imagine they are pretty similar.

With the gas struts on my MKIV hood, I really dont see the need for a prop rod. Ron, I thought you had an MKIV?

Ernest - I do have a MkIV and purchased the FFR hood hinge kit that includes the hydraulic struts but decided on a plain prop rod instead. Fortunately got the instructions from Mark at Breeze.

While we are on the subject................anyone installed the original type sliding support arm on their trunk lid. I bought one from Finish Line some time ago and would really like to get it installed.
