Thoughts on Non-Assisted Steering vs. Assisted

What is the consensus on out the box steering vs. the upgraded electric assist? Is it worth the money?

Yes- absolutely

Assisted is the way to go. A bit of a pain to install, but an amazing improvement.
Make sure you read the installation thread before starting, it helps a lot.

If you go with manual steering you will change to some sort of assist very soon. Why not just do it from the start? I highly recommend it.

Manual steering boxes are ok for race cars, cause they hardly are driven at slow speeds, but normal road cars need assistance, otherwise you'll get tired turning the wheel eventually.
