Here is what I came up with for some Gen II Hood Louvers. I'm thinking that the FFR openings look a bit reserved and restrictive......So I decided to open up that area a bit and "spice things up". As you can see, these are not installed, and are prototyped in 18ga steel instead of my normal aluminum. To install these you would be required to cut out most of the "flange" out around the openings, but leave the shape and radius of the openings that are already moulded into the hood. The perimeter of the louvered panel would be bonded to the underside of the hood.

I tried to angle the louvers in for a more "furrowed brow" look to help off-set the "happy face". Let me know what you think of this whole concept and look. Thanks!

I made up a narrower set that will fit without cutting the hood for demonstration purposes.......Something like this:

Ok....several hours of CAD later......here is what I came up with. The "side-plates" are there so that when viewing the louvers from the side, they will have some depth....and you won't just be looking at the fg edge of the hood with nothing behind it. I went to 9 louvers so they are spaced closer together and all of the louvers are straight. If this design appeals to most of you guys.....this is the design I'm running with, and I will make up one "narrowed down" version that I can install without cutting this hood so you can get an idea of what they look like when installed on the bottom side of the hood instead of sitting on top. Thanks again guys for all of the feedback.
