Guys, we're putting one of these X302 engines into a Falcon Ranchero right now and adding EFI. It's a great little budget engine with all new parts except for the block and crank. It even has roller rockers on it. Ford did a nice job with this package and it passes all of their stringent OE durability testing. It's decent HP for the money and it'll be fun in the Ranchero with an AOD and some gears and it should be a real blast, but reliable, in a Roadster.
FYI...

Hi Dave,
I think for the customer on the fence on what to build, this is an inexpensive option that will get you driving. It's so complete that if your kit is engine ready and wired you can go kart it in 1 day.
After you get it driving and if you want more you could upgrade with a 331, 347 or even 364 stroker. Imagine selling a barely used (1-3 years old) and recover 50-75% of the original cost towards a stroker. If you want to sell the engine package, I would sell it running in the car and then install the BIG ONE!!!!

You can give me the price on both. What cam do you use? I would really like to have one that has a rough idle, but is still streetable.

Mike,
I can't thank you enough for the 302/340 Ford Crate Motor I bought from you. Motor runs great. lookks great with the EFI Cobra Intake and has been a lot of fun. Can't imagine (yet) needing more power after 1,500 miles.
Great service, great parts and lots of knowledge. Thanks also to "Mustang Man" for some help with my EFI issues.

Hi Seagull,
The 347 Ford Racing engine has been discontinued and I have none in stock. The replacement engine will be a BOSS block 4.125" large bore 363. Pricing is coming soon I hope...
As soon as I know I'll post it.
Thanks,

Hello Mike - Just thought I would post an updated picture of the engine and trans package you sent me. Everything arrived on Tuesday and if it wasn't for work I would have had the engine installed on Tuesday night. Waiting for the weekend to arrive was tuff, so I had to just walk out to the garage and stare at it. Now I can stare at it in my rolling chassis. Thanks again for everything.

I understand that I am a bit bias as this is my engine but MHO is that a nice 302 with some flare that produces 340HP is just right for my car. I plan on driving this car everyday that it isn't raining or snowing.
This engine is a Ford Racing crate motor with PJIII EFI, Edelbrock endurshine intake and water pump with March pulley and alternator setup. And for safety sake, I went with a QT bell housing. I wanted all the protection I could get between my legs and a catastrophic clutch failure.
Good luck with whatever you choose as I am sure it will be perfect for you.

I want to let everyone know this is a Ford Racing longblock. Most of these Ford Racing engines we sell we end up finish assembling to turnkey and some we dyno at Forte's.

As of 9/8/2011 the pricing has gone up.....
$7875.00
We have had to raise the pricing on the package because of the following:
1] The distributor is now a Crane or MSD or Pertronix
2] The Engine now comes with an oval air cleaner
3] Valeo has raised the pricing on the flywheels & clutch
4] A few other parts also have gone up in pricing as of 8/1 which we have absorbed till now
That said it still is a great deal with ALL new parts [except the block & crank] with a warranty! All parts used are of a highest quality [no no named knock-off parts]

A question was asked of me about the shipping & wether we could install the trans to the engine. Here is my reply:
We can, however the shipping goes up astronomically! It would then ship out as 2 pallets instead of 1 [actually 1 extra long pallet which is even more $$$$$]
The way it gets shipped is engine built on a pallet ready to drop in complete from pulleys to clutch. The bell and tranny are on the side & top of the pallet!
