So i have been rebuilding/cleaning up my rear end off of a 94 mustang GT. One of the things that it seems benefits running brake lines is swapping the caliper locating brackets and calipers to get them toward the front of the car. By doing this i run into interference with my anti moan brackets. I have to swap these as well but I have a bracket welded to the rear end that is in the way. From reading the build manual, it seems that these are not utilized. I don't have a torch available so removing them would be difficult. My options are to load up the rear end and have them cut off or do away with the anti moan brackets.

Here is a picture of what i am referring61590 to.

Thanks for the help.

I used mine on the donor rear that came out of a '94 SVT Cobra. Not sure if necessary, but my rear brakes do not exhibit any chatter or "moan," so I'm assuming the brackets are working.

I guess I should have made it a two part question.. is it necessary to swap the calipers?? If they stay on their original sides the quad shock brackets wouldn't interfere.

I did remove the quad shock brackets from my rear end and then swapped the calipers side-to-side.... should have added that to my earlier response.

I use them on my challenge car as I get really really bad moan, and after loosing to Karen, I have double moan

Well that didn't take long. Got the old sawzall out and hacked them off. I will have to touch up the paint and get the grinder out on them but they came off rather easily. Thanks for the advice guys
