Gas pedal broke today. You can see in the first few photos that the spot weld that held the bearing case to the firewall mount just gave way. I am looking at making a strap to cover the pivot bearing case and cinch it down. Any thoughts or suggestions on my current solution? I know it looks like crap, I am working on that part of it.

Nope, it doesn't look like crap at all. Crap looks like what you see in the first photo of the failed FFR gas pedal.

So, the Russ Pedal seems to be for the other styles of F5R caRS. Do they make them for the 33 Hotrod or does the MK3 version fit?

Paint the strap black and no one will see it, or wield the parts back together.
