I'm considering this engine and gearbox combination for my 289 FIA roadster. http://www.fortefactoryfive.com/forte-306-package
Two questions:
1. Does anyone know if the price, $9600 is inclusive of the clutch parts and the T-5?
2. Anyone have any experience with this combination in your car?
While I have not worked with Mike previously, I do know from this forum that he has a great reputation. I'm looking forward to it.

Below is from his website, and if it says "includes", it should be right? Perhaps he put prices there to show the "value" in the bundle.

I agree. The few times I have had to call Mike he is more than willing to talk. He will tell you what is included and what options are available. For a big ticket item like this I would discuss in detail what you need and want and he will be more than happy to help.

I have that set up, minus the power steering, in my mk4, 13,000 miles, still going strong.
Call Mike, he'll take care of you.

To answer your question #2, I have that package in my car (specifically the equivalent version that Mike was selling in 2011) and I am very satisfied. My car may not be as much of a speed demon as many of the other builds here, but it is very predictable, very streetable, and certainly quick enough to get away from everyone else at a stoplight.
If I were building another car I might step up to the next level in the 302 family - maybe a 347 or 363, but I would not feel the need to step up to a bigger block and I would remain with a simple carb'd setup.
