I need a little advise on a couple of things. Mk IV 20th Anniv, New IRS, Coyote, Auto.
Does the kit come with parking brake cables? I have searched high and low, no show.
I will need the part numbers, if I have to buy them, thanks.
I am considering using a seat slide adjuster on the drivers side, yes or no, who from and any other advise on install and use.
I am going to do separate brake fluid reservoirs for the brakes. I am considering buying a second one to match the one that comes with the kit. Any do's or don'ts with this idea?
I installed the gas tank today, without the pickup or sending unit. I need to talk to Ford on the pump and line size for the 500 hp Coyote. I hope Breeze has something that is a drop in.
Still waiting on the steering rack from FF. ETA December. I think the rack will be the last part(s) I need from FF.
Will the trunk drop box and the trunk battery box play together OK?
I will go read edwardb build thread now and see what I need to be doing.
Thanks for any help and advise.

The kit comes with brake cables. Call Fortes parts connection 508-875-0016!for a fuel pump. He will set you up.

The kit does come with the brake cables .... but the ones I had the little ball came off the ends at the brakes and I replaced them with Lokar which were a little sturdier.

I do not have my parts list at hand and not near the car, do the e brake cables show up on the parts list?
I did a quick check earlier and did not see them, could have over looked them.
It sounded like some cables came with the Wilwood brake kits?
Thanks for the responses and advise.

My brake cables came with the kit and showed up on the parts list. However they were backordered and showed up later.
Seat slider- keep in mind that will raise the seat. Consider your height and how much room you need. IF you do use one consider the angle of the tunnel and where the seat is as it slides forward. The slider needs to parallel the tunnel or the seat will hit the tunnel as it comes forward. This will put the seat at an angle I believe but I did not use one so cant be certain.
Are you considering a hydraulic clutch? If so a triple reservoir from cnc is pretty popular. Two will work good if you are just doing brakes. Ive got an extra reservoir if you only need one for the brakes as I went with the triple. Ill send it to you if you end up needing it for a couple dollars shipping.
I got a breeze pump for my coyote. Works great. He has his opinion that the 255 is to much. Lots of people use the 255. Breeze recommended I believe a 155. I ended up splitting the difference and got one in the middle. Talk with Mark at Breeze and he will give you good info.
Dont know about the trunk battery box but breeze has a forward battery mount kit. I used it. Works great with the coyote. Plenty of space up front for it. Makes running the electrical easier in my opinion and frees up trunk space. You may want to look at that.
You cant go wrong with EdwardB's suggestions. He has been an incredible resource and I couldn't have built my car without him! His build thread is a must read for Coyote builders in my opinion.

wareaglescott, thanks for the reply, information, advise and generous offer.
I really have to get on the phone and get some of this stuff moving. I am just over 5' 10", so maybe the seat slider will not create an issue. I would like to see some comparisons on height and function. I guess I need to do some research. I hope to speak with Ford and then call one of the venders on the pump.
I want to use the drop in trunk battery box, but slowly the front mount is putting its thumb on the scale.
I would be pleased to acquire your spare brake reservoir. If you will PM me the information, I will forward the necessary to you.
I have read yours and edwardb's builds. Very valuable to me and others, I am sure. I wish there was a guide to which page discusses what. I usually expand my reading and continue once started. Reading the whole thread is good, but sometimes I cannot relate until I get to the same point.
Enough rambling, a genuine, thanks.

I need a little advise on a couple of things. Mk IV 20th Anniv, New IRS, Coyote, Auto.
Does the kit come with parking brake cables? Yes. Complete kit does include it. Check your back order list, but if you don't find them, call FFR. They are good about helping you with missing parts.
I am considering using a seat slide adjuster on the drivers side, yes or no, who from and any other advise on install and use. Depending upon your height, you may not need it. There is not a lot of room for adjustment anyway. I am 5'9", and don't need one at all. I did want some angle on the seat, so I put two 3/4" square channels under the front of the seat and bolted through them. Instant angle!
I am going to do separate brake fluid reservoirs for the brakes. I am considering buying a second one to match the one that comes with the kit. Any do's or don'ts with this idea? I have two unused FFR reservoirs that I will make you a sweet deal on. I was going to do two reservoirs, then decided to go with three and went with the CNC reservoir unit. PM me if you would like the FFR reservoirs.
I installed the gas tank today, without the pickup or sending unit. I need to talk to Ford on the pump and line size for the 500 hp Coyote. I hope Breeze has something that is a drop in. You may want to reconsider this installation at this point. IF you have not already installed the IRS, the wiring, the brake lines, fuel lines, etc, you are going to want every bit of space and access you can get. I put in a 255LPH in tank pump from Breeze. Great service, nice pump. Call Mark at Breeze. He will hook you up.
Still waiting on the steering rack from FF. ETA December. I think the rack will be the last part(s) I need from FF. It is nice to have the rack in place as you work on the front suspension. Perhaps not critical, but nice. Keeps it from moving while you attach items.
Will the trunk drop box and the trunk battery box play together OK? Yes. Perfectly. CHeck out my thread. I did both and love it. I did remove the cross members and added a couple of other braces.

I'm not sure the seat slider is worth the trouble to install it. I'm 5'6" and have never moved the seat forward from its most rearward position for driving purposes. It does allow the seat to be moved forward for cleaning purposes.
The drop in battery box in the trunk makes getting the battery in and out very difficult once the body is installed. The forward one has some access issues as well once all the radiator hoses are installed but I think may be a better trade-off.
The mustang fuel pumps and sending units are made for the tank and can be found everywhere. The Ford Installation Instructions recommends a 155 lph pump for the Coyote. Putting in the higher capacity pumps adds more heat the gas in the tank has to cool so more isn't necessarily better.

On the fuel pump sizing: this Aeromotive web page has some basic info you can use to do the fuel pump sizing https://www.aeromotiveinc.com/fuel-pumps-and-horsepower/
I have the relevant formulas in an Excel spreadsheet, an image of which is shown below. Assuming your Coyote is naturally aspirated and that it produces 500 hp at the flywheel, you'll need a pump that can supply about 175 lph (this includes a 15% safety margin). A 155 lph pump is undersized, so you probably want to select the next commonly available size of 190 lph.
Based on what I've read and been told by both Chris Richards (Pro-M) and Mark Reynolds (Breeze Automotive), more is not necessarily better when it comes to fuel pumps. Any excess capacity just results in the unused fuel being returned via the return line to the tank, picking up excess heat as it goes. There are a variety of problems associated with warm fuel, from reduced performance to increased emissions. None of them exactly earth-shattering, but the more-is-better approach has the potential to create problems that are avoidable by selecting an appropriately sized pump.
As far as line sizing goes, a 3/8" supply line is typically spec'd in a system like yours. A 5/16" return is probably adequate, although I'd be inclined to just run 3/8 for both.

I ran up to the shop before the games start. I did a quick check in all the boxes for the e brake cables, even looked in the brake line shipping tube. Unless they are packed with the windshield, they are missing in action. I grabbed the manual and shipping list. After 3 times over the list, no e brake cables listed. Of course, I am trying to watch the pregame stuff, listen to wife and son and trying to keep an active calendar in my head.
Thanks for the replies and good advise.
On installing the gas tank, I just had to get something done. I had been powder coating all the bare steel brakets, hinges and mounts. I was running out of places to hang the pieces, the wind was blowing gently
and I hated cutting up my stainless safety wire for hooks to coat the parts. I can pull the tank pretty quickly. I am working off a lift and have a hydraulic trans jack.
I wish I had taken time to buy the duck bill plies edwardb pointed out. I had to straighten the gas tank lip with a large set of channel locks. I used a hammer and dolly to make it look good again.
Back to the main subject, I am putting an auto trans in for various reasons, the wife being one of them.
The seat slider is so she can drive the roadster. She is 5' 2" and I am 5' 10", too much reach from one position.
I am still leaning toward the drop battery box. I might put a pigtail from the terminals for maintainer charging the battery, will have to see what connections are available up front.
I appreciate you guys taking time to help me work out these issues.
Karlos, very good and useful information. I now feel like I have some knowledge of where I need to be on the size of the pump, if not exactly.

I can help with the seat slider. DON"T FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH IT. They place the seat too far outboard and the seat back interferes with the body and the door. I didn't angle the seat rail for basically the same reason. The seat back would be against the door in the forward position. I mounted the inside rail on top of the 4 inch round frame tube and drilled and tapped the frame for the mounting bolts. Here are some pictures. Seat all the way back, all the way forward and with the seat cushion removed to show the seat frame to slider mounting bolts. The extra set of holes in the seat frame are in the positions required by the included instructions.

I have the dropped trunk box from dark water customs and the recessed battery tray. Everything fits fine with the IRS. Don't have to worry about sealing the trunk 3/4 tube around the dark water customs box.

Thanks for the input on the seat, very good info. I will look into that Dark Waters vendor. I like to use something that fits and works.
Yeah, the wife said, she wants to drive it. I am still falling for that line. I put an auto in the 66 stang. She drove it about 2 times. I thought it might be novel to run an auto.
Thanks for the advise guys.

Looks like most of your questions have been answered. Couple of additional comments. My e-brake cables were also not in my original kit delivery and were not referenced on any packing list or backorder list. Just plain missed. A call to FF and they were sent. These are specific to the Wilwood brakes on your Anniversary build, so you need the right ones. You mentioned my build thread. I showed an alternative to the kit e-brake routing instead of going under the chassis tube. It works really well. Something you might want to consider, although things will be a little tighter in the transmission tunnel with your auto trans. So not sure how that will work out. I did go with the 255 lph fuel pump. So much discussion on that. 255 is too much. 155 not enough. And so on. I installed 3/8-inch feed and return lines so hoping that addresses the concern about too much flow and heated fuel. Only go-karted so far, so too early to say anything other than it's working. Finally see the comment about Dark Water Customs. Nice stuff and I've used some on each of my builds. But you'll find when you go to his website that Chris isn't taking orders. Only wish list, and not for everything. You can see the details in his explanation. I ended up with the Russ Thompson dropped trunk box and it worked great. I also used the Breeze front battery mount, which I highly recommend. Super quality part (like everything from Breeze) and I personally find the wiring is a little cleaner with the battery in the front.
Good luck with your wife driving your car. Any time the subject comes up at our place (and I've offered many times!) the word "never" is always in the response. Pretty clear message. ;) But she loves to go cruising and just ride along, so it's all good. Best of luck with your build!

thanks Steve, How do you seal the holes in the drop box, where the braces come through?
I have not permanently installed or sealed any of my panels yet but most threads refer to the basic silicon or Marine Tec epoxy to seal any openings. I'm going to apply Lizard skin over the sealing material as well.

Thanks edwardb and Straversi. Does the Breeze fuel pump/pickup come with 3/8" inlet/outlet tubes?
I am leaning toward peel and stick for the insulation and sealing on the panels. I need to hit Wareaglescott up for tips and recommendations. I am far from that point, but like to stay ahead of the build curve.
I really know about the wife driving stuff. I have a 13 Shelby GT500, even with 700 hp it idles and drives like a Honda. She has never even been in the drivers seat. It's just fun and games though.
Norm B, who did you buy your seat slider from? I did not detect any issues, except for the suggested installation. I am hoping that means you are happy with its function.
Thanks for all the input.

The seat slider was one of the options I order with my kit. I got it or the same reason that you are considering it for, so my wife could drive the car. It has never been used for that. She likes cruising around in the pax seat but has no interest in driving. It works fine but the seat is always full back for me.
Just a note. If you instal a slider on the drivers side only, you will need a spacer under the pax side so the seats look even in the cockpit.

Does the Breeze fuel pump/pickup come with 3/8" inlet/outlet tubes?
Mark at Breeze doesn't sell a pump with 3/8-inch inlets and outlets. Talk to him and he can give you options and recommendations. He recently added a separate 3/8-inch return fitting, discussed here: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-factory-five-roadsters/581530-high-flow-fuel-return-255lph-fuel-pumps.html.
If I were doing my build today, I would use this pump hangar from Pro-M Racing. Especially nice if you're planning -AN fittings. It wasn't available when I selected all my fuel parts now over a year ago: http://www.promracing.com/fuel-supply/individual-fuel-parts/high-flow-fuel-pump-hanger-for-1986-1997-mustangs.html.

I will definitely be following up on this.
I guess the fuel filter will need to be upsized to 3/8" also.
