Or it should be titled possible stupid question. Is the frame actually set up for the engine you choose at the time of ordering. Obviously I have an older mod motor, but what would it take to switch to a traditional small block or even a Coyote? Cut off the motor mounts and weld new ones on? And if so would I be able to purchase those from FFR? Just curious if my current plans don't work out like I want.

Thanks in advance, Mike

I'm 99% certain the motor mounts in the chassis are in the same location for all the engines you mention. The chassis mounts have multiple holes for the various engine mounts mounts. The transmission mount has multiple locations to accommodate. The Coyote requires an additional bracket at the transmission mount, but the motor mounts don't change. Different engine/trans combinations also result in varying driveshaft lengths. But again motor mounts themselves are not changed.

I tried to get Factory Five to delete or simply not install them when I ordered my kit since I knew I was installing a SBC, but Dan Golub advised me that all of the frames were the same, including the mounts.

With that said, unless you do something silly like installing a Non-Ford power plant that requires new mounts be fabricated post production, then the FFR pads are all the same.
