Mk4 Rear Control Arm to Frame?

The frame tabs that the Rear Control Arms attach to have a fair amount of space between the tabs. It seems the tabs will have to bend a lot in tightening the bolts. As you can see from the picture, the tab is already bending a lot. Are spacers or washers required inside the tabs?

Scott,

It looks like the tab moved while they were pulling the frame out of the fix jig. You will need to use large 1/2" fender washers to correct this issue. The washers have to have a 1/2" hole because the bushing sleeve needs to be pressed up tight to the washers. Another fix could be to cut the tab off and re-weld it.
