Hi everyone. I have emailed factory five but they didnt give me the response i need. Im going to be using the wrx centre console and dash so will have no use for the kit supplied dash and console. At 899USD im wondering what other parts are supplied apart from the console, dash and afew firewall inserts. Just seems like a lot of money to spend if i wont use half of what is supplied with it.

Anyone able to list what parts are specific to the RHD kit?

There are some differences to the chassis for the steering column and pedal mounts, maybe the steering rack mounts too, though I'm not sure

My kit was quite early (100 ish), the pedal mount didn't fit and my centre console was formed to suit LHS anyway :(

If you are thinking of getting a LHS frame and converting there would be some cutting and welding, but I can give you the dimensions etc from my chassis

They have fixed the RHD pedal box position in the newer chassis which mine was the first of.

Yeh ok, im not scared of a little cutting and welding as im gone with that sort of stuff. Reckon its worth paying the extra for and not worrying about?

It really depends on how much time you have and how quickly you want to build
If your parts are cleaned and reconditioned the early part of the build is amazingly fast, lots of visible progress every day.
That will be a lot slower if you have to cut and shut the steering/pedals before the aluminium goes on

If it was me, I'd try and negotiate a RHD chassis but cost reductions for the parts that you don't want.

I know the early tail lights won't pass ADR, and my early (in the kit, but from a Camry) headlights were LHD, so no use either
Not sure how the headlights for the new front will handle RHD and ADR approval.

The only 818 I know of in WA is Hendow, who bought the Wilwood carbon 818s.
Not sure if you've seen the car, but it might be worthwhile having a look to see what work is involved.

I have the shipping list in excel file, PM me an email address if you want it

Cheers

Yeh i have been talking to Hendow and did have a look at the car afew times. Unfortunately i never got to go for a drive though as it had an accident.

Thanks for the reply. The headlights hadnt even crossed my mind. Unfortunatly Factory five and being rather unhelpful in providing me with more info on their RHD kits. Im assuming it may be due to the SEMA rush etc so will give it another few weeks.
