Has anyone ran different cooling tubes/hoses?

Hi Guys:
In my quest for missing parts on my project I am looking for cooling tubes. FFR will sell me the kit stuff for about $400 plus shipping. I was wondering if anyone has run something different, like continuous braided hose to eliminate all the hose connections?

Yes this has been done. It will cost you WAY more than $500 to go the braided line route, but it has been done. We ran the water lines to the outside of the passenger compartment along the rocker panels and it works well. Noticably cooler in the car after doing so. The "other forum" has some examples in the threads there.
