Super Coupe axle diameter difference

I recently purchased a complete T-bird Super Coupe rear end assembly. The left and right axle shafts are different diameters. Is this normal or has one of them been replaced with either a larger or smaller part?

yES, That is normal. If you use it in a kit, you will replace the shafts with kit parts which are the same diameter.
