I am installing the 2015 Mustang IRS...I think i'm missing the bolts that hold the bearing assembly to the knuckle...does anyone recall what size these bolts are? Tried finding this out from FF today, but I guess the A team is at SEMA? There are 8 bolts and my searching has turned up none...thanks for any help.

I've not seen those bolts in any FF parts listing. My knuckles and hubs came assembled with the bolts already installed. I just looked at a couple sources I used for parts (Tasca Parts, etc.) and I don't see those particular bolts called out. Did you get new take-out IRS parts (what I had) or brand new Ford Racing parts? And yours weren't already assembled?

I did not purchase the knuckles from FFR but ordered them from ford. they came with the bearings and the bolts. I am sure FFR gets there parts from ford as well and the bolts should have been in the box wit the knuckle and bearing

I got the complete kit from FF (since they were in Ford boxes and real clean I'd say they were brand new) and they did not have the bolts. The bearings were wrapped in plastic ... I called them yesterday and the guy (a parts guy) tried to tell me they were 10mm allen head bolts and I tried to tell him that no way would 10mm work, he insisted they would. So I'll try again Monday. thanks

I happen to spend several hours yesterday cussing myself as I looked in all my boxes for these bolts as well. I also called FFR to ask their tech guru about the matter but got no callback due to SEMA.
Nice to know I am not as crazy as I thought I was yesterday.
Please post the correct bolt size and source when you know so I can order as well.

They were flange head hex bolts. The torque spec is 98 ft/lbs. That's too heavy for 10mm. Mine is all together and pretty buried. So can't check any further. I would if I could.

I'll let all know when I find out, but definitely not 10mm and not allen head...I'm not good with metric bolts but guessing is at least 12mm and would need to be beefy like a shoulder headed bolt..

Dug through my 2015 IRS pics and found this one clearly showing the bolts in question. Flange head hex bolts as I remembered. Also marked 10.9, which is roughly the metric equivalent of grade 8.

The bolts are 12mm 1.50 thread, 10.9, approx 2.0 inches. Per FF I should have had them in the box with the other IRS stuff and they do not provide the bolts. So I went to the bolt store and got them and torqued them to 100 lbs and moved on. I get the impression if others are missing these bolts FF would like to know about it.
