Hi all,
I recently starting the build process on a MK4. Overall things are going well, but I have noticed some fitment issues specifically with the metal spacers on the front control arms and the steering assembly. I've actually considered grinding them down a millimeter or 2 to get the steer rack to fit. Any words of advice?

Probably better off to tweak the mounting ears a bit. Especially the control arm spacers need to be a very specific length. They end up held stationary between the mount ears and the plastic control arm bushing rotates around them. If the spacer are too short you would lock up the arms by squeazing to tightly on the ends of the plastic bushings. The rack isn't quite as critical since it doesn't move but I'd still not cut the spacers. BTW pls create a signature line so we have some of your car specs.
