I have to say, I was surprised by what I enjoyed the most at the open house.
All the hot rods were top shelf.
The yellow GTM looks really different in person, it is MUCH lower than the photos suggest.
My favourite colour prior to going was a metallic, titanium silver. But with the grey/rainy day the red cars really stood out and the traditional blue/white cars looked great as well.
The GTMs look like a lot of work, but the results are stunning
There are a lot more mods to Roadsters than the ones you read about on the forums all the time. I didn't see a single car that looked "standard"
Overall, my two favourite things about the open house were the smell of the factory and the challenge cars.
The Challenge cars look great, loads of custom aero mods and they all had bugs, road grime and looked rough as hell - driven on the edge just the way they should have been. The smell of the factory - steel, welding, grease, grime. Brilliant.
What were the highlights for others that managed to make it?
