She's running, but barely. Needs some tuning and a couple leaks addressed but it's a good day.

Hey Rick,

I thought I heard a sigh just before you tried the first startup. I know the feeling. I was startled when mine started right up the first time. So much so, I jumped. These mile stones are what keeps us going between the not so fun parts like riveting panels (at least, I didn't like that part).

Continued good luck,

WEK.

yes, you picked up on my "sigh". The thoughts have been running through my head for weeks on end up to the key turn was all the things that could and can go wrong with the motor. Since I built it myself, all the more added stress of what can/could go wrong. In the end, it fired up. Having it taken to a local shop to have some tuning done to it. Just not running as it should. Plus I have a leak at the intake that they might as well take care of since it will be in their care. All in all, I'm happy to have reached this milestone.

It's a great moment in the history of our builds, when you hear that engine run for the fist time. Congrats ! :)
