I ordered a complete kit and it had a driver's side front footbox attached. I also got one in with the other parts boxes, but its different. I have heard one is for the donor setup and one is for the wilwood setup... I am using the wilwood setup...which one do I need to use. Photo attached. I know this has been covered but couldn't find in the search. thanks in advance for help.

What you can do with the extra piece to create a heat shield.
Cut it down at the bend, then do a little trimming here and there.
Set of off from the front of the actual foot box using some aluminum barrel spacers. (3/8" or 1/2" Is Plenty)
It will make a world of difference in the heat that you will feel on your feet.

Great Idea! Will do. I also could have read on page 117 and that would have answered my dumb? Probably won't be my first lesson.

You can see how mine came out in the attached video:

The aluminum was fairly easy to polish and would really have come out even better if I would have known what I was doing.

I used riv nuts as the stand-off for my heat shields. Got the idea from MPTech.

thanks for the ideas... as I started to fab up the correct front footbox, I ran into this...the panel opening and the steel frame set up do not agree at all. Is the panel incorrectly stamped? its off by at least an inch or inch and a half?

Looks like a mistake to me. All the pre-cut holes in my panel matched the steel really well.

Yea, something isn't right there. To my eyes, the aluminum panel looks right but the hole cut in the steel looks too far over. But the deciding factor is the pedal box and clutch cable connection since that's what the hole is for. You need to assemble and install the pedal box -- or at least mock it up -- including the FF mods to add the clutch cable and see where that falls. The quadrant they supply mounts on there and must align with the cable connection on the pedal box.

Could it be the aluminum for the old offset clutch quadrant and steel configured for the newer setup?
It's definitely not right.
