FFR 8687 is on the road!!
Kit arrived late September 2015, Build started late April 2016 after returning from Texas for the winter. Completed and on the road 16 October 2016, 2 days before my 74th birthday.

Some of you may remember FFR6649 that I wrecked on the Sturgis, SD drag strip 9/6/2014, it was used as my doner.

It hurts to see your donor car crumpled like that and hope everyone was okay, but what a great rebirth for #8687. Looks great!

I have complete faith in the safety of the FFR Roadster. Car made a right turn into the wall at about 80 MPH, climbed the wall, rolled twice across track, slid through the timing lights and hit wall on other side of track. The 5 point harness held me in place, the roll bar took a hard hit and did not collapse 9my helmet came off). Only injuries were a bruise on my neck caused by helmet and a bruise on my upper leg where my billfold hit the trans tunnel (kinda' bruised my wallet too  Previous run was 8.001 @ 92 MPH (1/8th mile), this run was 10.706 @ 28 MPH:p -- Chuck

Well, glad you kept your sense of humor. Hope you collected your final time slip?

This is not the kind of information that any of us ever wants to learn, but it sure is nice to know that FFR has done what it can to create as safe a platform as possible. I don't suppose FFR will be putting this information on their website, but it's good to know. I pray that neither you, I, or anyone else ever gets the opportunity to re-test your results! Glad you are OK, and congratulations on the reinCARnation of your first FFR into your second.
