A little intro for me; Im a 23 year old engineering student, I drive a 700whp turbo 5th gen camaro and love cars. I am selling my camaro because the gas is killing me and my plan is to build an 818C and get an every day car. I recently acquired my donor car, an 05 wrx wagon for $600, I cannot describe to everyone how excited I am to build an 818. I will hopefully submit my order and deposit some time in the next two weeks. I look forward to reading other threads and getting support from the factory five community for the build on the forums. I am hoping to have the wrx all torn down some time in the next two weeks and start refinishing all the pieces.

I did mean I plan to get an every day car in addition to the 818C, I found the $600 wrx in winchester VA. I'm a mechanical engineer, or I will be in a couple months when I finish my degree. Time line on the 818 may have just gotten pushed back as I was leaving a parking lot and as I was driving out a girl backed up in to me, so I need to have everything repaired before I can even think about selling it, which means I need to tell my buyer this all happened and he will likely not want to continue with the sale. As for now Ill keep taking the wrx apart.

Ha, I just moved out here from Winchester a few years ago. I never saw any cars for $600, but a coworker did give me an 02 na Impreza for nothing, so good for you! I used to live right next to Jubal Early and Loudon. What a dump that neighborhood was.

Welcome, I'm guessing you live near Winchester? If so, there are a few 818 builders in the area including myself (also an ME). Good luck with the tear down!
