I am using a 2001 Mustang Cobra donor for my Factory Five Mk IV build. I had the key, cylinder and halo ring taped behind the firewall (as per Factory Five) and it work fine until my build mate cut the ignition halo ring on the PATS. Can I get a junk yard (or new Ford) replacement? I assume the PCM and key are the parts that need to match the original car. My concern is that there is a circuit board integrated into the halo ring. Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes, if you get another halo ring, you will need to have Ford Dealer reprogram the ECU to match your unique key / PATS system. You can find slightly used 'halo ring transmitters' online through MPS Auto Salvage in Georgia. $40 plus shipping
I highly suggest consider removing or deleting the entire PATS system: instrument cluster, ignition cylinder module, halo ring transmitter, and key. You'll need a good tuner (we used a Sniper Tuner from Brothers Performance) to delete the PATS from the ECU. Saves a lot of room in dash, and eliminates other components issues / breakages in the future...less is more.
Good luck!
