It’s not like me to come here and vent, but I don’t know what to do.
In the middle of August I made a very large purchase with one of the long time venders here on the forum. I’m still waiting for over half of the order. I was told 4 weeks for the part of the order as it would be ordered from the manufacturer, then the vender would assemble it. Other parts, fuel lines and fittings would ship right away. I called after about a week, waiting for the common parts, “Oh. they’ll ship this week”. A week goes by, call again, “ship this week”. Wait, call again, “having stuff dropped shipped , see it soon”.
5 weeks I get the distributer, and MSD box. Wrong distributer, has an iron gear, even though I was very clear that I had a billet cam and need a steel gear. I called again, was told that was the correct one to use. Starting to get upset, “NO, I’m not going to use an iron gear on a billet steel cam, and where are my fuel system parts, and my intake?” Was told he would ship a new gear, and the intake would ship that week. Finally a few days later the intake and fuel system showed up, no gear and no EFI system????
Called about 10 days ago, “where are my parts?”, was told the Fast EFI had to be custom built (????) and would be dropped shipped, 8 WEEKS? Yesterday get a fair sized box, inside a very small box with the distributer gear, THE WRONG SIZED GEAR, it for a Ford distributer, not an MSD. Here is what pissed me off, it’s a Summit Racing part, in a Summit box with a Summit part #. I could have called Summit, ordered it and it would have been on my door in 48 hrs. I waited ALMOST 4 weeks,
ALL this BS from one of the highly respected venders here. Has had my money for over 8 weeks, and still waiting for almost half my order, and god knows how long till I get the correct gear. OH and when I told him the gear was the wrong one, I was told to be sure to ship it back to him.
