Tomorrow is 8 months to the day since receiving Kit. I have spent about 140 hours building the car, body shop has slightly over 100 hours of time invested. The engine was held up 4 months just waiting for the engine block to get to Mike Forte. I should have the car complete next week. Doors, hood and trunk were painted today after mounting them 1 more time for accurate stripe matching.

We are pretty close in time, I was at 122 hours to go-kart. My wife also did a lot of the rivet pulling while I was preparing panels.

If I counted pondering and planning I'm in way deeper time wise. I must also admit to taking time off waiting for my motor and both too hot or cold to work. I have noone to blame but myself for taking longer than I probably should have but it is what it is. You have done a lot in a very short time and we all see it for the accomplishment it is. As a reward you get yours sooner!

Lew, Looking good, man. I'm going to have to make a drive north of the border to check your car out someday. I'm still plugging away on my build and always get motivated when someone who bought their kit more recently finishes and gets to drive one of these great cars. Let me know if you're ever down south in FIB-land. I'm about 45 minutes straight south of Lake Geneva.
