Fun morning in the desert.
I Met up with Mike LeFevers of MiTech Racing Engines. It took a while to find him but it was interesting to just cruise around and check out the people and cars.
It's a weird but cool mix of Old Hot Rodders, 24hrs of LeMons and Drag Racing all rolled into one.
Here's Mikes car in the pits waiting for the second round to begin. On the first run one of his son's did 200+

In line waiting to make the second run. His other son was running this time and shooting for 175-180 and came in right at 175

And here's a video of the second run... Everything seems to be going well, the car sounds great, you can hear the kid driving it through the gears and as he passes the line everything puckers tight... The parachute didn't deploy. Luckily he didn't panic and got it under control and slowed down in time so he didn't run out the back end of the course.
