First of all, if the moderators want to move me that's fine. That said, a local high school automotive club is going to be building a roadster. The school board was not able to fund this project so a friend of mine is popping for the kit. We have a donor fox body that's a bit rough that Hotrod here on the forum was able to locate. We know we'll be looking for odds and ends, so if you're looking to unload some garage clutter... they'll be able to purchase what's needed as the build progresses.
The kids will be setting up an account here and will be looking for your guidance and opinions as they move along. I'll be there to help them when needed, but it's their project!
Thanks, Sten

Tell them to feel free to ping me with questions. You never know what I have laying around that may be helpful.

That is AWESOME. I cant wait to see their progress. I have all ready amassed a small amount of stuff i am not going to use and would be happy to send their way if a needs list is created. What is there plan for the roadster once completed?

If you have another friend who wants to pop for my kit, I'd be happy to accept.

I have yet to actually see the donor car. Dan is pulling the basic donor parts off and I'll be picking them up on the 16th. A few will be used as cores for rebuilt parts. I did notice that the main crank pulley was beat up pretty good. We'll be going with OEM puppies but with different bra Kerry. The plan now is to clean up the parts and regasket so they don't leak all over. The 5.0 will be torn down and reassembled. The actual configuration is yet to be determined.
That's all I have for now!

No real stash of parts on hand currently but you know that you can always ring me up if you have questions. Good on you and Dan for helping out!

I have a new set of billet specialties wheels and Micky Thompson tires from the 33 build that I would be happy to donate. Guessing they can probably trade/sell for other parts needed on the build. Let me know and I can drop them off.

Good morning! Thank you everyone for your interest and support! The kit will be ready at the end of the month and delivered. The actual overall build plan is a decent cruiser with an upgraded suspension. So much is up in the air now that I really can't say too much without getting ahead of the plan. But, I'll fill in info as time goes on! The kids are very excited to get going! I suggested they get going on the body buck now.
We'll be in touch, Sten

Do please encourage them to get involved with the forum here. Make sure they post plenty of pictures of their build progress and get themselves in the shots too - we've all seen plenty of pictures of in progress cars, but to see these young people with tools in hand working on the car would add so much.

Kudos to you and your friend too, Steno, a wonderful thing to do for your community.
