Get a low profile jack.
When I ordered my kit I had a list of tools I would be needing. One was a good jack. Bought a nice jack but never considered the 4.5-5" ride height of the MK4. My jack when it is at its lowest is about 6". That didn't work once the car started sitting on the ground. Spent some more money on another nice low profile jack today that is about 2.8" at its lowest. Wish I would have thought to do it right the first time.

Out of curiosity, what did you get (for a new jack)? I have a Hein Werner that has to be 50 years old. It still works, but I keep thinking about a "refresh"...

I agree with you, my old jack that worked fine for my 68 Dodge Dart, does not fit under my Scat Pack Challenger, however, it seems to be working for my MKIV. I am now going to be looking for a GOOD low profile jack.
