What information can I learn from chassis number 1623. MK1 , MK2 . Who determines the VIN number and can you learn anything from it. Thanks

Your kit is number 623 A pretty early kit. Not sure when the mark 2 started but you might be one. I have kit number 441 here now and its a Mark 1 the state that it was first registered in will determine the VIN and will have little connection to the car itself other than where and when it was built.
