Cobra Earl Vent System - Rheostat?

Has anyone added a rheostat or low-med-high switch to Cobra Earl's vent system? It seems that having it on high all the time is a waste and it is noisy at the single speed.

I've got Attwood Blowers for my foot boxes and they are quite because the motors are mounted up front.
It looks like "Cobra Earl" used the same blowers for his kit so I don't see a need to put in a variable speed switch.

I ran the wires through the duct to protect and hide them.
