Can someone give me the size of the openings? And the height from centerline of the attachment holes welded to the frame? I need to cut them in my bulkhead

Thanks

Here are the measurements but keep in mind these precautions:

1. Because I have the trunk divided so the height measurements are from the base to the centerline of the opening;
2. Have insulation on the rear wall of the cockpit which overlaps slightly into the holes. I tried to account for that in the measurements; and,
3. These are on a Mk 4.

Floor to centerline of opening: 6 7/8 ths inches from the aluminum floor
Hole opening: 3 1/4 inches x 1/2 inches

The plastic edge trim that comes from FFR, for those openings in the aluminum, will help protect the harness day to day, but in an accident, I bet the downward and forward force of the belt tightening could slice right through it, exposing the sharp edge of the aluminum.

Try to make the shoulder harness cut outs, at a level where the belt won't be subject to the bulkheads aluminum edge, but rather the frame itself. You want the bluntness of the frame for the harness to pass over, so there is no chance of them being cut, (or chaffed). If the bottom of the harness opening in the aluminum, is even (or slightly lower), than the top of the frame that the belt passes over, you won't need to worry about belt failure.
