Track Night - Thompson CT

So, last week I attended track night at Thompson Speedway, with the 818.

What a blast!

Got lots of questions about the car, even from people running the track night.

One thing is, need track tires as the stock tires I use are not very good.
I spun out in turn 4, then I was always nervous, going to turns 3 and 4.

For those who know the track, just getting onto the long straightaway, I would be in 3rd, then shift to 4th, just over the bump, and then pedal to the floor for what seemed like a long time for the car to go from 80 to 100.
By the time I had to break for the turn, sometimes I would have made it to 100 mph, but not always.

Just lots of fun and I now want to try and figure out how to change the car so that it sticks better, and the tires don't squeal so much in the turns.

A few people asked me if I knew the guy in the orange 818 that frequents that track. They said they were surprised that he was not there that day. It was Sept. 14th

I am the orange 818. I didn't make it to the last track night cause my engine needs a rebuild.

I have been there with my 818 when it was red I got my car up to 120 at the end of the straightaway it was a blast do you know when the next track night is I will bring mine up there I only live 30 minutes away brian

That was the last Thompson track night this year. There may be a date yet at Palmer Ma.

Sorry to hear about your engine. Hopefully, you can make it in April, as I was told that is when the new season will start.

SCDA is having a track day at Thompson on the 28th. I'm trying to make that date in my STi. 818 is sad, poor stepchild right now.

That third and fourth pics of the blue car looks like my wing.
My wing came off my 2004 sedan donor.
I was going to sell it on Craigslist but then Steph and i thought, lets see if it looks good on the back! By golly i think it does and so it stays.
