Okay, another critical detail to the FFR future. How does one get these insured? I have an insurance broker for other things and they said the only company that would insure this hypothetical vehicle would require proof of a year's worth of high performance driving abilities. What!? I guess driving my Civic like I'm racing just doesn't count any more.

Anyway, particularly anyone with CA specific experience with automotive insurers or someone with a national brand insurer, I would love to know how that obstacle has been overcome by people.

I called the state farm agent that insures our house and other vehicles and gave her the make model and year. $377 every six months for the same coverage as our daily drivers, no mileage restrictions. I'm in CA.

Perhaps a silly question, but what would the year be?

Call Robin http://www.midwestclassicins.com/ They've insured hundreds of FFR's vehicles at very reasonable rates. And, he's a Forum supporting vendor.

My SF agent went by year of manufacture.
