It was pretty cool when Eastwood opened a store about an hour from my house - it's added to my tool collection, which surprisingly hasn't made my wife anywhere near as happy as me.
I've had my eye on their 24" slip roller for some metal work that I'm doing on my '65 Mustang racecar project. This is one of those things that has three rollers that are adjustable and is used to put curves in metal panels, make cones and cylinders, and bend tubing and rods. Sort of one of those things you don't need often, but when you do need it, nothing else will do.
Since the weather was so nice and I've been trying to use the Roadster as much as possible, I decided that it would make the perfect vehicle for hauling my new slip roller home - but I was a bit surprised by the size of the box - about 32"x16"x12" - and just as heavy as I expected at around 50 lbs.
No problem - just chuck it in the passenger seat and use the four-point harness to strap it in... didn't lean, roll, or touch any bodywork on the two-plus hour winding route home.
More pics to come once it's set-up and I make my first panel.
