I will be building a MK4 Cobra. Have found a 2001 Cobra Mustang overhead 32 valve, 5 speed Tremec trans with 94k miles. Car seems to be in reasonable shape.
In viewing forum discussions, l have not seen this motor used for this build. The motor is extremely wide, therefore, not able to fit in car
Car has called independent rear suspension. Have not looked at it and assume it has a stationary differential with flex shafts.
I have not seen where this application has be used.
Need some advice on what to do about this possible donor.

Many people have used that motor with no problems. The Coyote it just as big. Just make sure you get the Coyote foot box metal and you should be ok.

What about the independent rear suspension of the donor? How does it work with the kit?

Those components would work with the old style FFR IRS but I'm not sure FFR still provide frames that mount it. It's not entirely bolt on. The only useful parts are the outer hub assemblies and center section. The axles, A-frames and upper suspension arms would be supplied by FFR. The current IRS that FFR is using comes from the 2015 mustang and is an improvement over the older style.

I am selling my 2001 Cobra as a donor car. I had an accident and airbags deployed but all drive train is good as well as new rotors and pads. Do you think you have a deal on the other donor Cobra or would you be interested in mine?
Thank you

I am in Orlando. I will do the entire car for $4500. It will have a salvage title. I bought the car new in 2001 from Sunstate Ford. You can call me if you would like to ask further questions.
