Just finished F5R1008824RD. Complete kit. Delivered March 5, 2016. Finished on August 16, 2016. 2015 IRS, 351W bored & stroked to 408 longblock by Blueprint Engines, Inglese 8-stack EFI with F.A.S.T. electronics, Tremco TKO 600 tranny, CVF polished pulley system, MSD 6AL ignition controller, 17x9 Halibrand replica wheels w/NIT-182910 Nitto tires, 17x10.5 Halibrand replica wheels w/NIT-182870 tires, polished stainless sidepipes, Sidepipe heat shields from Cobra Stuff, and great final bodywork and paint by All Around Auto Body in Marina, CA.

My question is: What are you doing to make a licence plate fit between the licence plate light and the trunk handle? It appears that I should trim some of the plate across the top and cut the plate just under the letters/numbers to make it narrow enough to fit. Also the screw holes will have to be drilled in a new location. Sound about right?

Your build looks great. Congrats!

The license plate fit issue has been talked about a lot. There are several options. A common one is tucking the top of the plate into the light fixture. There are others. Some here: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-factory-five-roadsters/294934-mk4-rear-license-plate-holder-t-handle.html.

Also take a look at this. Similar mod but change to LED bulbs: Scroll down in this post: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/5321625-post224.html.

These links are from the other forum. Quick search, don't see the same info here.

Thanks edwardb, I will probably do something similar to what you gave me the links to. A chopped up licence plate won't fly on this machine!
