Any cons to a removable steering wheel?
I am tall with long legs and I think it would make getting out considerably easier.
I have been happy with the Breeze products I have ordered. Is his the best option?
Thanks

Only con is someone can walk off with it, some have some issues with it not locking in correctly - however saying all that, I have installed the Breeze kit because of my long legs. I've got no issues, excellent kit.

I've got an SFI approved piece from Jegs and it makes getting in an out of the car a snap.
PROS:
1. Nice to have the ability to remove the steering wheel to deter theft.
2. The dash can be pulled without having to pull the steering shaft.
3. It helps in getting in and out of the car if you've got mobility issues.
CONS:
The Factory Five steering wheel bolt pattern is different from just about any quick disconnect out there so you need to get the Breeze piece if you want to retain the period correct steering wheel.

I installed the Breeze kit. You have to tap some threaded holes, which is the only tricky part. It comes with a drill and tap though.
I thought I could use a Russ Thompson self cancelling turn signal stalk, but it would need modding and it pushes steering wheel even closer to your chest. I did however get Russ to make a nice turned billet aluminum dash bezel that fits round the breeze part nicely.

That looks good! I'm going to do something very similar for mine as you've given me some ideas on how I'll adapt my FFR steering wheel to a QD hub when I get a bit farther in my build. Perhaps others will respond with photos of their removable steering wheels.
