Well, the missus is behind me. Not only is she OK with me building an 818 (the whole 2-seat deal was a sticking point), IF it goes well and IF I'm still in the mood for building, I get to build another after that...even if it's the GTM. That's all very cart-before-the-horse, but she brought it up, not me :) Apparently I give her anxiety when I sit around thinking about something cool to do (like build a furnace to melt aluminum just because...did that, too).

What did I give up for her blessing? She gets the final say on the new pool design and house remodeling projects. I guess nobody told her she already HAD the final say, lol. I was just putting in my two cents because I don't want her to think I don't care what shape the pool is (I don't care what shape the pool is). So, win win. Seriously, this semester can't be over fast enough.

It's always easier with senior management being on board.

And behind every great woman is some guy checking out her rear ;)

Tony, when you come to see my 818 feel free to bring your wife so she can see that it can be built using only one garage bay and some shelves, the expenses can be spread out, the car looks much better in person than the photos, and it will keep you in the garage and out of her way for many months. My wife pushed me to start another build after I sold my FFR roadster. Well, actually it was after I made some perceptive and insightful comments about the so-called stars as she watched Dancing with the Stars.

Sounds exactly like me, Pete! It's a bit of a drive, so I don't think she'll want to make it (mostly because I'll already be out in Scottsdale unless it's a weekend), but I'll ask her. Thanks for the offer.
