I am mocking up all aluminum panels to drill before sending to powdercoat. The manual isn't real clear on dash panel placement. The arch of the dash panel doesn't match the arch of the 3/4" square tube. should it be even at the top and high on the ends or low in the center and even on the ends. Hopefully this question makes sense since i do not have pics to add right now. Thanks in advance for your help

My manual said 3/16 of an inch above the 3/4 frame at the outside edge. It will be below the top edge of th 3/4 frame in the middle.

That said, my dash bottom wasn't parallel to the 2x2 firewall frame when set up this way and I had to trim the top edge on th drivers side.

PS This has be discussed in a few threads. Try a search on both forums for better information.

Lots of threads with good pictures just do a search for dash mounting.

Please dont let this offend anyone......... I always try a search first, please dont think im that lazy. Problem with that is all i seem to get is build threads only 1/3 of which are even for roadsters. I then go page for page only to find that when they get to that part it really doesnt answer the question i asked. If you dont have time to answer the question or even dont want to just dont i will not be offended i promise. Sometimes im even looking to have a conversation about the subject. Sorry if this makes me look like im being a jerk. I do truely love this place and this build. Rant over carry on..........

You want 3/16 "below" the top edge of the 3/4 tube on each end. If the outside edges of the dash are too high they contact the body (and not in a good way)...da Bat
