I got back from the dyno recently with my 818C. I just wanted to say thank you to Wayne and everyone on the forum that has been willing to take a few phone calls and answer my questions during this build. What a rocket this is on E85!

Wow definitely supercar power to weight ratio. That alone will get you your first ticket. LOL

I don't have many pictures on my phone...here is what i have and 1 video from dyno. The pics are with smaller tires (285). I have not fitted with the new tires as we will be modifying the body for the 315 rear tires.

Nice congrats. What mods? 400 ft lbs by 3500 is great.

I will be modifying the body and not buying flares. I will flare the fenders myself. I have a long time friend that builds molds and takes 3-5 trucks to SEMA every year. He is letting me use his shop this fall to do all panel strengthening and changes to accommodate the tires.
What sizes are you running? I am 255 up front and 315 out back.

Wow! I love this forum and the amazing work. Jon, I'm glad you live far away so yours won't be passing mine. . . in a blur.

My car would not even be running without your help on my accelerator pedal. I just hope mine turns out as nice as yours inside!!

245/40/18's up front and 305/35/18's out back. I'm also planning to flare them myself. You get out there and beat on those PPG's, I'm really curious as to how they'll hold up in the 2wd layout.

I'm running 255/35/18 and 315/30/18. I also have this on my transmission.

I'll get the go-pro out and take a video. 2nd and 3rd gear are insane, I haven't pushed it in 1st.

Very cool. I didn't know you could get different ratios in ppg gears... thought the only option was straight vs helical and synchro vs dog. Did you go closer or wider on the gears? I too am interested in how the gears hold up in the 818. They do have a fantastic reputation and that will be the route I go if I blow my current 5sp up.

I didn't order and define my own gear set. However the ratio that where put in are different than the stock set. That's why I choose to go this route over the 6 speed. I can find the ratios if your interested I have them in my file somewhere. It is wider.

I'm running 255/35/18 and 315/30/18.
Did you use steering limiters up front or have to do any mods to fit the 255's? I'd think they would rub on the frame. Nice build btw, looking forward to the go-cart videos.
How much boost did you run on those dyno pulls?

They rub at full lock, my original 225/35/18 did not. I need to add limiters. I can't remember the boost I'll look it up.

I have plenty of material to make the limiters, just need to know what the exact length.

Unfortunately with working 60-70 hours a week and 3 kids it has limited me. I have been the silent watcher just reading updates here and there. Most likely i will have a post thread this fall when it's completed. All my time on car is on weekends after everyone goes to bed.

I was able to get 285/30-18 RE-11 on 9.5 wheel on right to edge tucked all the way in with 30 offset and Wayne's toe links almost turned all the way in.
I'm now running 315/30-18 on 10.5 wheel with 10 offset and keeping everything set up the same I gained 5mm clearance inside but I'll need to flare now.
