Gary W. Simpson
September 3rd, 1951 - August 5th, 2016
We lost another family member the other day. Gary lost his battle against cancer the other day. Gary was a great guy, a father, brother, husband, and friend. He is survived by his wife Debbie, three sons, and one daughter.
He enjoyed Nascar, the Detroit Tigers, and Red Wings, and mostly his roadster.
As it usually ends up being I did not know him as well as I wished I could of. I met him one day as he stopped by seeing my car at a show told me he was finally pursuing a dream to build one himself. He did it, it was a very nice blue with white stripes MKI. His first show out he won a huge trophy for best hand built. The trophy actually stood higher than the car.
Unfortunately he was not able to enjoy it the last 3 years because of the cancer, so sad he enjoyed driving it so much.
Please send out your hearts and prayers to his family.
We will miss you Gary, may you now be able to drive it like you stole it my friend.
