Ok guys, another wiring question. What 12 v switched circuit should I use for my Cdi box? I tried the radio, but no go.

I'm not sure why the radio wire didn't work. Not enough current? But a commonly used wire for a Cdi box (e.g. MSD) is the ORG-EFI or COIL wire. It's a dedicated 15 amp ignition switched circuit.

The radio wire drops out in "start" rendering your MSD box unpowered when cranking. The EFI and Coil wires are hot in both "start" and "run".

Efi is hot in start but not run. Coil in run but not start can I combine the two?

The ORG-EFI or COIL wire I referred to is one wire. That's exactly how it's marked. You can see it on the RF schematic in the manual as well.

Donnie,
If I'm not mistaken, I believe it to be the heavier gauge ORANGE wire if the markings are missing.

EdwardB,
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, it's orange. That's the "ORG" portion of what I've referenced and is marked on the end of the wire.

Orange wire worked, I thought I tried it the other day. So I've done two laps around the block. Very happy, brakes feel great, easy to steer, clutch feels solid.

The pressure plate bolts came in today along with the pilot bearing.
Working on the shifter modifications now so I hope to install the engine and transmission on Sunday.
I'm still dealing with a few open items and a few additional parts, but the GoDadGo Chevy Cobra is progressing nicely.
