I just installed my axle w/3-link and the axle is hitting the panhard bar bracket. I'm obviously at full droop but I didn't think it was supposed to hit.

This is on an Mk4 with the Moser 3-Link rear end. I have the Koni Double Adjustable shocks. If I had an extra 1/4" it would clear.

Is there a limiting strap that would help? Where would it be installed? I live in California and the roads are not great. I am certain at some point it's going to hit.

Thanks

The 3 links do that when jacked up. If it ever contacts while you're on the road it means you aren't on the road anymore---you're airborn! You can add a limit strap if it makes you feel better but it isn't necessary.

Although the original question was for some reason deleted by TJ from this thread, (from the another build site), it is still a good read regarding the limiting straps, and the issue you mention. If you notice, an FFR tech (Andy) did claim they should be used at that time, if using the Koni's. Obviously there is varied opinions on their usefulness.

Here is a few other threads re the use of the straps with the 3 link set up.
