I bought three of these nifty switches manufactured by E-switch, about $19 each.

Mine have DPDT switching but I'm only using the N.O contacts. I bought the blue LED ring. Here's my question. I can set these up to either illuminate whenever the ignition is on (for daytime bling) or only when the head or park lights are on. Whatcha think?

IMO only when the lights are turned on...

I just installed seven of those in my dash. I wired most of them to light up only when the switch is on, but I wired a couple I wanted to be easily found at night to light up when the dash lights are on. For those ones I installed an extra LED indicator light to show when the switch is on.

I can do it a heck of a lot easier than that because I have the ISIS system. No relays...
These look really cool. Stupid question. where would you use these? what switches are you replacing? I'd like to add these as well. as for when to light them up,I would set it up whenever the ignition is on. That way it would match the gauge needle lights.

I'd light them up whenever the car is running. I have a hard time finding my switches at night in the dark. So while driving and searching the safety factor goes down the toilet. It would be nice to just SEE the switch instead of reading braille so to speak. Plus a little Bling never hurts.

I have one for headlights, one for park lights and one for hazard lights. No radio, no AC, no wipers. The key is up under the dash, the trunk release trips when the key is in the "acc" position, and I can run everything from the keyfob if I want to.

I say have them dim when off and brighter when on. As you know (thx to you on the parking lights), ISIS has that ability.

Awesome, I think I will add these for my headlight.
Question, will it have instructions on which wires go where, relative to the FFR cobra. or will it be a guessing game? also, does it fit the headlight hole in the FFR or will I have to make it bigger/smaller?

These switches are available in a number of contact configurations and sizes (19mm 22mm, 25mm). You have to figure out which one works for you. And, there are no instructions. Since I'm using the ISIS system, I can't advise you how to interface with the FFR harness.
