I too am having an issue with the fuel filler tube hitting the 3/4" brace on the passenger side of the fuel tank. I have searched for an answer but using a hammer or spacers does not seem like the correct fix for a FF MKIV with a FF fuel tank.
If I were to cut a larger half moon out of the 3/4" tube and weld it shut, would the brace retain it's strength? Could I just dimple the filler tube? I have seen many OEM tubes with flats and funky dents to clear factory installs. Any help would be appreciated.

I put a small piece of rubber (muffler hanger material / glued to the tank) and got the clearance I needed.
1/4" is about all you need to keep it from hitting.

That's the simple easy fix. Lower the tank slightly by adding some thickness on the PS tubes that contact the rim of the tank. About 1/4-inch should do it. I cut some squares out of a hard rubber stopper and glued them to the plastic insert that goes into the end of the tubes. (You do have the plastic inserts installed, right? Even that little bit makes a difference.) The strap is long enough to still go around the tank. The tank won't care if it's slightly out of level and it's not enough to be seen. Way easier than messing around with the 3/4-inch tube where the actual interference occurs.
On a side note, I'm wondering if this has been fixed by FF? My #7750 build had the interference. #8674 currently underway doesn't. So far anyway.

Yes Sir EdwardB, I do have the plastic end caps in place.
I also wrapped the filler pipe with some super soft self adhesive backed HVAC foam insulation just in case it hit.

Thanks guys, I guess extra spacers are the way to go. I will do that once I get this supercharger install I'm working on done.
